UK:
Emma Haselhurst has been appointed Global Director of Communications and Public Policy at Logically, having previously served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Public Affairs for Teneo. Logically tackles misinformation online, and Emma’s role will focus on building brand awareness in the UK, as well as strengthening the company’s profile in key markets such as India and the US.
Philip Morris Limited UK and Ireland has hired Janine Mantle as their new Corporate Communications Director. Janine previously worked as Corporate Affairs Director for the High Speed Two railway project for six years. She will now lead PML’s efforts to help make the nation smoke-free by 2030.
Flic Howard-Allen, easyJet’s Chief Communications Officer, took voluntary redundancy in June as a result of the airline’s downsizing strategy following the ongoing effects of the Coivd-19 pandemic. During her time as CCO, Howard-Allen was responsible for the development of easyJet’s sustainability strategy, which was launched in November 2019.
Edleen John joined the Football Association as Director of International, Corporate Affairs and Co–Partner for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Edleen has an impressive background in HR, having previously served as Director at KPMG and been seated on the Board of Directors at Tech Talent Charter.
Anthony Marlowe has been appointed Head of Communications and Public Affairs at Rothesay, the UK’s largest pensions insurance specialist. He has joined Rothesay from Weber Shandwick, where he held the position of Managing Director for the agency from January 2019.
Rosanna Konarzewski has become Chief Communications Officer at Millennium. She joins the global investment management company from Man Group, where she worked as Global Head of Communications and Marketing for six years. Rosanna replaces Tripp Kyle, who departed in April to become Chief Corporate Affairs and Communications Officer at Citadel.
Morrisons has hired Simon Rigby as their new Director of Communications. He commences his role next month, bringing with him extensive experience in financial and corporate PR from his time at Citigate Dewe Rogerson, where he was Joint Managing Director.
Sophie Timms has been appointed Director of Public Affairs at Kier Group. Sophie has over 20 years’ experience, with previous roles including Head of UK Corporate Affairs for Zurich.
Leading energy technology company OVO has hired Simon Maine as Director of Corporate Affairs. In this newly created role, Simon joins the leadership team where he will be responsible for public affairs, policy, media relations and sustainability. He joins OVO from Brunswick, where he specialised in power, renewables and new energy technologies.
Europe:
Heineken has appointed Sarah Backhouse as Director of Global Communications, based in Amsterdam. She joins from her role as Managing Director of Communications 50 and Sustainability 50 at World 50. Sarah will lead the development and execution of a medium and long-term strategy for all external communications.
Claire Divver has become Global Head of Corporate Affairs for Trafigura in Geneva, a leading global trading and logistics business. Claire brings extensive expertise to the role, having previously held global leadership positions for FTSE 100 companies in the mining, aerospace and defence sectors.
Middle East:
Taqa has hired Gareth Wynn as Chief Communications Officer. He will move to their headquarters in Abu Dhabi at the end of this year, following three years as Stakeholder and Communications Director at Oil & Gas UK.
North America:
Katie Fallon, former Executive Vice President of Global Corporate Affairs at Hilton, has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Global Impact Officer at McDonald’s. In this role Katie will report to president and CEO Chris Kempczinski and will lead the new global impact team, which was created at the start of this year.
Rob Clark has become Exxonmobil’s new Head of Global Communications and will be based in Irving, Texas. He has joined Exxonmobil from Medtronic, having been their Chief Communications Officer for seven years. Rob will be leading corporate communications for the company and will be reporting to Alan Jeffers, their GM of Public Affairs.
