Here’s a round-up of recent in-house corporate affairs moves:
Steve John, previously Partner and Global Director of Communications at McKinsey & Company, has been appointed as HSBC’s new Group Chief Communications Officer.
Molly Neal has been appointed as the Head of Group Corporate Communications at National Grid. This role was previously led by Sean Kemp as Head of UK Corporate Communications. Molly previously worked at Landsec.
Under the guidance of Katja Hall, Group Corporate Affairs Director, Capita have built a new corporate affairs function:

Previously at HSBC, Tim Woodward joined Capita in May as their Head of External Communications. Reporting to him is Andrew Horne, who joins from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Richard Braham, previously at Visa, will lead Capita’s public affairs strategy.

Damian Reilly – previously a speechwriter at National Grid will be working closely with CEO Jon Lewis as Head of Leadership Communications.

Previously a Director of Policy and Communications at Smart Energy GB and Deputy CEO at Centre for Cities, Claire Maugham will be Capita’s Head of Strategic Communications.

Joining from GSK, Viktoria Tegard has been appointed to Group Head of Employee Communications & Engagement.
Victoria Dean, Partner at Portland Communications, joined Google in September as its Director of Global Policy and Political Campaigns.
Leaving Fremantle where he was Group Director of Communications and Marketing, Oliver Rawlins has joined Netflix as their Vice President, Communications for EMEA.
Ceres Power have recently employed Elizabeth Skerritt as Director of Communications and Investor Relations.
The Director of Corporate and Business at 3 Monkeys Zeno for the last three years, Phil Reay-Smith, has been appointed as Principal Communications Lead, Books for Amazon.
European diagnostic services provider Unilabs has appointed Alistair Hammond as its new Director of Communications:
Former LADbible and Buzzfeed comms expert Peter Heneghan has joined Number 10 last month and the Cabinet Office as Head of Digital Communications. Peter had previously worked at the BBC and Channel 4.
Zoe Paxton, Head of Media at the Department for International Development (DfID), is leaving for a Chief of Media Relations role at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in New York.
