Anne Laumen has been appointed Communications Director for the EMEA region at Netflix. Anne has extensive experience in technology, having previously worked at Twitter and most recently at Facebook as Head of Policy Communications across Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Anne started her new role in June and will be based in Berlin.

In June, Dominik van Arx became Group Head of Media Relations at Credit Suisse. Dominik joined Credit Suisse from UBS Investment Bank, where he was Head of Corporate Communications and led external communications for Axel Alfred Weber, the UBS Chairman.

Mars has hired William Blomefield as their first UK Public Affairs Director. Formerly Group Head of Public Affairs and External Communications at Innocent Drinks, William will lead Mars UK’s advocacy programme on issues including sustainability, digital, trade and investment. This role is part of the company’s global public affairs leadership team and reports directly into Anders Bering, Mars’ Global Vice President of Public Affairs.

Emma Juner joined Primark this month as Global Head of External Communications. Emma has extensive experience in the retail and FMCG sectors, and her previous role of Head of Communications at The Coca-Cola Company saw her lead all internal and external communications for the business in Great Britain.

Barclays recently announced the hiring of James Quinn as Managing Director, Global Head of Corporate Communications for their consumer banking and payments businesses in the UK, Europe, the US and Asia. Previously Group Business Editor at the Telegraph, James joins Barclays from Credit Suisse where he was Managing Director, Group Head of Corporate Communications.

Andrew Clark will be joining the Go-Ahead Group in August as a Corporate Affairs Director. Go-Ahead is one of the UK’s leading passenger transport companies and is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Andrew’s career spans journalism, policy and communications and he most recently worked as UK Head of Communications at GFG Alliance, the global industrial group.

Rolls-Royce has appointed Alastair Evans as Government and Corporate Affairs Director for their nuclear reactor development programme, known as the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) scheme. Alastair reports into Tom Samson, the project’s Chief Executive, and he will be responsible for delivering their corporate affairs strategy which includes public affairs, policy and investor relations.

Andy Donald, formerly an Associate Partner at Maitland/AMO, has been hired as Director of Communications at UK Finance. Reporting directly to Sarah Bailey, Managing Director of Corporate Affairs, Andy will lead the trade association’s press and campaign activity, working with their members to deliver impactful communications and promote the UK’s banking and finance sector.
